Dubai is a magnificent city with lots to offer for all travellers! While you could spend many days exploring the city, we have narrowed down the highlights with what we think would be a great 3-Day Itinerary for Dubai!
Day 1: Go on a Desert Safari
With the desert close by, going on a desert safari is a fun way to experience life outside the city in Sharjah. The safari begins in the mid-afternoon and ends around 8:00pm. We began our excursion with sand duning on the way to our sandboarding location. Going sand duning is a pretty crazy feeling as the driver take your party up and down all the sand dunes and you’re in for a wild ride! When we finally reached our sandboarding location, it was an experience like no other! Being the only party in that area, we had the dunes to ourselves! Heading down the dune on the board was easy, but the walk back up was exhausting. After you finish up sandboarding you’ll be taken to the main tent area where you have an opportunity to have a buffet and watch 3 performances.

Cost: Approx $50 USD
Day 2: Visit Traditional Markets
Dubai Spice Souk, Deira Perfume Souk, Dubai Gold Souk, and Bur Dubai Souk

One of my favourite things is every new city is to explore the traditional markets! Head to Deira for the day to explore the Dubai Spice Souk, Deira Perfume Souk, and Dubai Gold Souk as they are located right next to each other. After a few hours of shopping, cross the Dubai Creek (for a 5 minute and 1 AED boat trip) to reach the Bur Dubai Souk for more shopping! The Dubai Museum is also close by and certainly was an interesting visit! It takes about 1-2 hours to explore and gives tourists an insight on the remarkable history of Dubai!

Alseef Dubai
This area is beautiful to simply walk around in at night! There are many little shops and restaurants that line this quaint area along the river. It is neat as it is not very touristy, and yet offers a unique experience to stroll through. This is a “must” for a night time excursion!

Day 3: Experience the Palm and Skyline
Atlantis – The Point
I was very intrigued by the Palm Islands in Dubai and thought that I’d go on a first hand experience to see what they were all about! Although transit can be tricky to get here, we were fortunate to be driven around the palm by some of Ru’s family. Out of our favourite spots was at “The Point”. This area offers a beautiful view of the Atlantis Hotel and has many restaurants and cafes for your to choose from. It made the experience quite enjoyable and we stayed for about an hour!

Jumeirah Beach
While being located right along the water, Dubai has many great beaches to choose from! We would recommend going to the Jumeirah beach and it has beautiful sandy shores and you also have a view of the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah.

Dubai Mall and The Burg Khalifa
Heading to the grand Dubai Mall is simply a must as you’ll want to experience the fountain show and light show next to the Burg Khalifa! The shows begin around 6:00pm. The fountain show began first and lasted about 5 minutes. Shortly after the fountain show, there was a light show that took place on the Burg Khalifa itself! The light show also lasted about 5 minutes and was very interesting to watch!
When you go into the Dubai Mall you’ll find my restaurants, shopping stores, and experiences to excite your visit! As we travelled in the winter they even had an ice rink! Let’s just say you could easily spend a few hours here!
As you’ll see upon your visit, there certainly isn’t a shortage of things to do in Dubai! It’s a beautiful city and offers a great experience for all travellers!

Global Village Dubai
This Global Village was unlike anything that I have ever been to! It is a huge park full of great eats, rides, and shopping! It is really cool to walk though different continents in the world and see how they are represented here at Global Village Dubai. You can easily spend a few hours here and it really was interesting to check out!

Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary
The Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary was such a unique place to go to in Dubai. You don’t need much more than 30 minutes to an hour here. It’s a really cool lookout point to see all of the flamingos. I have never seen so many together in my life. I do think it’s worth a visit if you have the time!

Hopefully this itinerary gives you some great ideas on planning for your next Dubai adventure! Let me know – what are you most looking forward to on your Dubai trip!
