Siargao had many amazing places to eat when we were there in February of 2019! Specifically in the General Luna area we found some seriously great spots! Even with our villa being located about 15 minutes away, we spent most of our time eating in the General Luna area. Wondering where we ate? Check out some of our favourite island eats below!

Breakfast Eats

Kambal Pandesal

If you are in the mood for some quick bun eats then you need to come here! Our favourites were the coffee bun, cheese bun, and chocolate bun. Each bun was around 3php. How can you go wrong?

Kalami Avenue

Offering both local and international breakfast options, there was a decent selection in the menu to choose from. We chose the local breakfast option, having garlic rice, eggs and meat. Each plate was 150php and it was a neat environment. Now we did have to wait about 40 minutes for our food. This however could have been from multiple orders ahead of us.

Cashey’s Place

They had a great all day breakfast option, for each local breakfast costing 130php. The meal came out quickly and was a good value for what we paid.

Lunch Eats

Miguel’s Taqueria Y Cerveceria Burrito and Tacos

This was pretty cool little restaurant, right on the main road. It is in the mix of other little eateries and shops as well so it has a pretty good location. We ordered beef and chicken tacos. My preference was the chicken tacos as the beef tasted pretty standard. We often saw that this taco joint was busy and it was a decent place to grab a quick lunch!

Kitya’s Place

We ordered the Arabic Platter and Mango chicken and ate in a beautiful and lush scenic spot. It was one of the most beautiful places we ate at in Siargao and the food was just as great! We also had juice, which was very refreshing to go along with our meals. Everyone enjoyed their food and I would highly recommend this place!

Dinner Eats

Trattora Altrove

Siargao, Philippines

We happily went to Trattora Altrove after learning about their brick oven pizzas. They had a decent selection to choose from and the pizzas cost approximately between 400php-500php. We ordered a Hungarian pizza and a pepperoni pizza. Both pizzas tasted great and were cooked well. We paired our pizzas with fresh lemonade (I prefer the more sour the better) and a mango shake. All drinks cost 100php and were delicious. The environment is pretty nice here, they had a nice ambiance and also in the menu encouraged their guests to put their phones down and enjoy the company!

Travel Tip: We learned that this restaurant is actually a chain and in El Nido there was a huge waiting line to dine here. In Siargao we simply walked right in!

Kermit

A hot spot in Siargao is the restaurant Kermit. Being tucked off of the main road, it appears more like a hidden getaway, making this place have a cool and relaxing vibe. One of the main features is its brick oven, which serves its dinner pizzas starting at 5:00pm. The pizza is a little more expensive, costing approximately 500php per pizza, however they tasted great and we were very happy with our order! Each pizza can be easily shared between 2 people as they come around 8-10 slices each. They had great service and very friendly staff when we were there. We certainly noticed a dinner rush between 4:30-5:00, however they have plenty of seating to accommodate. Definitely a place to check out in Siargao!

Palaka Dive Center

We took our Open Water Scuba Diving course here and naturally found it a great place to catch a meal…or two. Their beef burgers are amazing and I highly recommend them! Costing approximately 320php for a burger and fries combo, you’ll be full after you eat! We also happened to be diving during one of their mussels days, which is said to occur monthly. We were lucky to be there and their Manila mussels were a highlight, especially at 350php for each bowl! Be sure to get your order in early for these as they’ll run out quickly!

Bebie’s Barbecue with Sweet Sauce

We kept driving past this roadside BBQ place and couldn’t resist it on our last night in Siargao. They have a great selection of skewered meats to choose from and they also come with their special BBQ sauce. Favorites among us included the chicken, pork, and gizzard skewers. In total for 6 skewers and a cup of rice it cost us 250php. Great food, great place, need I say more?
